Services I offer

What does ‘trauma-informed’ actually mean?

All services offered are trauma-informed.  This means not that they address the topic of trauma (except if requested) but that all the services I offer operate on the assumption that the people I work with may be traumatised. This means I am careful about content, but also that I can use my trauma-informed training and academic knowledge base to notice where anxiety, fear, burnout, people-pleasing, perfectionism, shame or blame may be contributing to the issues that you or those around you are facing.

I have 25 years of experience as
a mixed methods health researcher and epidemiologist in the academic and independent sectors.

I have studied and published in the trauma-informed field for a number of years bringing expertise particularly in trauma-informed client and patient consultations and in trauma-informed research methodologies.

My coaching is trauma-informed. This means that my coaching recognises and responds to the ways that trauma can show up in organisations and individuals.

With 20 years in teaching, running workshops and seminars, and providing one-to-one supervision, I combine expert knowledge with a warm and supportive training environment.
